As the Salesian Sisters celebrate the Year of Consecrated Life and the Bicentennial of Don Bosco’s birth, thanks were given to God for the young women who have answered God’s call and moved on to the next step of their religious formation.
On August 2, 2015 Kelly Schuster was accepted as a first year novice for the Eastern Province of the Salesian Sisters at Sacred Heart Novitiate, Newton, NJ. On August 3rd Krystle Balancio, Melissa Benitez from California and Quynh Pham from Minnesota were accepted as novices for the Western Province of the Salesian Sisters. These four young women will begin their novitiate and join the three second year novices at Sacred Heart.

On August 4th seven women renewed their vows as Daughters of Mary Help of Christians at the Provincial House of the Salesian Sisters in Haledon, NJ.

On August 5th the solemn Liturgy of First Profession was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Chapel at Mary Help of Christians Academy, North Haledon. Three young women professed their vows for one year as members of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, (Salesian Sisters).

Sr. Hae Jin Lim made her first profession as a Salesian Sister on August 5th at St. Benedict’s Parish in Toronto, Canada. Sr. Hae-Jin completed her Novitiate at Sacred Heart Novitiate in Newton, NJ.
